The good thing with IXT is that you get directly better details and sharpness with the same settings and with less fiddling. You can always delete any of the DNG files you don’t choose to edit right away. I have changed the default settings for the sharpening in IXT to low or to none. This will mean you will have two RAW files on your hard drive for every shot, but you never know when you might want to go back to the original. One suggestion I have when using a file converter such as Iridient X-Transformer is to keep all your original X-T3 RAW files. Lightroom will have no problem reading these files and you can begin processing your images. When the process has completed, you can import the resulting X-T3 RAW DNG files in to Lightroom just like any other RAW file. If you choose to convert all your files, it might take some time for everything to finish. You can convert all the images from your shoot, or just a selection of a few. Once you do this the program will begin working and exporting your files. Open the RAF files you want to convertĬlick the “Select Image(s) to Convert…” button to open the files you want to convert. Note that you must own a license to the software otherwise you will get watermarks on your exported DNG.Ģ. This can be tricky and you’ll have to experiment with settings to find what you like. UPDATE October 10, 2018: Adobe has updated their DNG converter to version 11.0. RAF files and how Lightroom handles white balance. There is slight bug in Lightroom 8.0 regarding X-T3.
